YouTube Shopify integration brings a new trend to sell. In this post from MiniTool, we have a step-by-step guide on how to connect your YouTube channel to Shopify.
YouTube Shopify Integration
YouTube is exploring more new possibilities besides video sharing. It rolled out the new shopping feature and announced the integration with Shopify. YouTube Shopify partnership means YouTube creators and Shopify merchants can display their products on their YouTube channels.
Viewers can purchase these products directly without leaving YouTube or visiting an external link. In addition to this, YouTube has added new tools within the Shopping tab in YouTube Studio. It helps creators manage their products better.
Products will be displayed on YouTube in three ways:
- The store tab. YouTube will add a new tab on the YouTube channel so that it will display all products.
- Videos. Creators can put links to products in a product shelf below videos. Or merchants can embed videos in your Shopify store.
- Live streams. Creators can display products during a live stream. And it allows picture-in-picture playback, thus viewers can watch the live stream while they are paying.
This integration gives a chance for YouTube creators to be merchants, and Shopify merchants can be creators as well. However, it has some requirements for YouTube creators’ channels.
For YouTube Creators, their channels must be approved for monetization or have at least 10,000 subscribers, or are official artist channels. Besides, their channels can’t be set as made for kids and go against YouTube’s monetization policies.
Until now, you must have a basic understanding of YouTube Shopify integration. We will provide a guide on how to connect the YouTube channel to Shopify next.
