After a few top YouTube streamers made the jump from Twitch to Mixer, Jack “CouRage” Dunlop, content creator for 100 Thieves, has announced that he’ll soon stream exclusively on YouTube - a popular video-sharing website where you can upload videos made by MiniTool software.

Jack “CouRage” Dunlop (one of the most popular Fortnite streamers on Twitch with over 2 million followers) released an announcement on social media on Monday, announcing he will stream exclusively on YouTube soon, just like Shroud, Ninja and King Gothalion detailing their move to Mixer.

In his announcement video, he showed some funny medical and police TV shows, so it seems like he’s going to do more than just streaming Fortnite. He also pointed out that he will still participate in 100 Thieves, an e-sports organization, because he is the content creator of it.

” I’m very excited to continue expanding my relationship with my YouTube audience, as well as leverage the platform for new collabs and experiences. This deal with YouTube allows me to create more content and engage with my fans in real time. I am very fortunate to do what I do on a daily basis and welcome my fans to join me on the next phase of my journey”, Dunlop said in the press release.

For CouRage, it makes sense to switch to YouTube instead of Mixer. He said he is eager to go beyond the gaming arena, hinting at making trick shot, cooking and ASMR videos in his announcement video. YouTube may be more suitable for his full development than streaming-focused Twitch and Mixer.

Mixer vs Twitch – YouTube Is the Biggest Winner

Meanwhile, for YouTube, he is a reliable candidate for top streaming services battle over talent. In the past few months, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek (who shares a management team with CouRage) and Cory “Gothalion” Michael moved from Twitch to Mixer. In August, Twitch signed Nicholas “Nick Eh 30” Amyoony from Fortnite player on YouTube. Last week, YouTube locked Lachlan Power (who has more than 12 million subscribers) as an exclusive deal.

Twitch streamer jumps to YouTube, which put Twitch in a worrisome situation. In just a few months, Twitch has lost many top Twitch streamers in a row. So has Twitch ever thought about the reasons for their departure? Ninja’s manager and wife, Jessica Blevins, said that Twitch does not listen to them and the contract the service department hopes he signs will limit his brand and licensing potential.

In terms of live streaming, YouTube is not as powerful as other sites like Mixer, not to mention Twitch, but recently it has been building up a base of exclusive streaming. Besides, YouTube has benefitted greatly from hosting replay content from other streaming sites like Twitch, which means it doesn’t need to focus too much on attracting content creators to the platform. Now, with the recruitment of Dunlop and Lachlan, the strategy of YouTube seems to be changing, which indicates that YouTube tries to occupy a place in this streaming services battle.
